The KwaZulu Natal Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (KZN DARD) invites suitably qualified applicants to apply for their Enterprise Placement of Unemployed Agricultural Graduate Internships (X120 Posts). The closing date for applications is the 30^th December 2024

POSTS: AGRICULTURAL GRADUATE INTERNSHIPS X120

• Stipend: R89 407.50 Per Annum

OBJECTIVES:

The objective of this initiative is to empower qualified unemployed agricultural graduates through practical experience and mentorship, enabling them to pursue entrepreneurial ventures and enhance their career prospects within the agricultural Industry.

The key components of the placement program Include, but are not restricted to the following:

• Livestock rearing and poultry production
• Horticulture/crop production
• Aquaculture production
• Agro-processing.
• Veterinary medicine/Pharmaceutical

Applicants must be entering this programme or any similar programme in Government for the first time. Private studying during this 24-month graduate placement programme will not be allowed.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Unemployed South African graduates in possession of a recognised Diploma/Degree in agriculture.
• UNEMPLOYED AORICULTURAL GRADUATES FROM COLLEGES OF AGRICULTURE WILL RECEIVE FIRST PRIORITY.
• Applicants must demonstrate an Interest In and passion for agriculture.
• This advertisement targets unemployed graduates who reside in specific Districts in KwaZulu-Natal.
• An original affidavit indicating place of residence must be attached in this regard.
• You are to apply for a placement In the District of your residence.

NATURE OF APPOINTMENT:

• Successful applicants will be offered an employment agreement at Identified farming enterprises for two years for structured on-the-job training to gain practical work experience and a better understanding of the agricultural sector.
• All appointments are subject to verification of educational qualifications, citizenship, reference checks and security vetting.
• Your appointment to and success in this position does not guarantee a permanent position In the Government service.
• The Department reserves the right to only appoint agricultural graduates with Diplomas in Agriculture.

All fields in the New Z83 form, must be completed and signed. Furthermore, a comprehensive Curriculum Vitae (CV) must also be attached. Failure to attach the completed Z83 and the Curriculum Vitae (CV) will result in disqualification.

On the day of the Interviews, shortlisted candidates must bring the following documents:

• Certified copies of relevant qualifications.
• Certified copies of either a green barcoded South African ID {or a new South African ID card, copied on both sides).
• Academic results certified by the academic Institution.
• Please ensure that all documents are certified and ready for verification.
• Emailed or faxed and late applications and applications with copies of certified copies will not be considered.
• Applications without an affidavit of residence within the District being applied for will not be considered.
