Job Description
Kia Pinetown is currently seeking a dedicated Service Advisor to join our team. The successful candidate will provide advisory services to customers, ensuring all non-technical service activities are handled accurately and promptly according to standard operating procedures.

Specific Role Responsibilities
Interact with customers and coordinate service work and scheduling.
Serve as the liaison between service customers and the dealership.
Promote the sale of labor and parts.
Maintain a service appointment list.
Obtain customer approval and signature after explaining the dealership’s payment policy.
Contact customers for authorization when repair orders need to be extended, providing new cost estimates and delivery times.
Document customer contacts, additional instructions, and refusals on repair orders.
Follow up on repair progress to ensure timely completion according to instructions.
Maintain customer files, follow up with customers who haven’t responded to mailings, and ensure satisfaction by calling customers who have had major repairs.
Address customer complaints promptly.
Explain work performed and parts replaced when presenting invoices.
Inform the Service Manager about customer attitudes, appointment trends, and shop performance.
Notify the Sales Department of customers’ intentions to trade or sell.
Perform test drives post-repair if necessary.
Attend training sessions provided by the distributor for Service Advisors.
Maintain a neat appearance for customer greetings.
Develop communication skills to reinforce customer relationships.
Adhere to warranty policies.
Stay updated on Work In Progress and Cash Outstanding.Qualifications and Experience
– Minimum of a Matric certificate.
– 3-5 years of work experience in the motor industry in a service advisor capacity with technical knowledge.
– A background with the Kia brand would be an added advantage.
