Mercedes-Benz The Glen Passenger Cars is excited to announce an opportunity for a Warranty Clerk. Reporting to the Service Manager, the successful candidate will ensure the accurate processing of job cards according to Company Policy and Procedures, as well as the timely and precise handling of warranty claims.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform accurate costing of job cards in line with company policies.

Match invoices, outwork invoices, and orders to respective job cards.

Execute all calculations with correct mark-ups.

Clear all accounts with debtors in advance.

Verify that repair orders are signed by the owner.

Ensure technicians’ work records are complete.

Check recorded clock times of technicians.

Confirm parts department’s verification of supplied parts, signed by the Service Advisor.

Handle invoicing and markup processes.

Process warranty claims accurately and promptly in accordance with Company Policy.

Collect and validate all information on warranty claims regarding customer complaints and defects.

Attach claim tags to parts and forward them promptly.

Conduct daily checks of the suspense file.

Manage claim statuses and report to the manager.

Maintain a claims register and ensure payment receipt.

Assess vehicle eligibility for warranty work.

Confirm that all warranty parts are tagged and stored correctly by technicians.

Submit warranty claims according to distributor guidelines.

Assist with additional reasonable duties as required.

Attend training courses provided by the distributor.
